HOW TO CONSTITUTE A PEPTIDE
RECONSTITUTING YOUR PEPTIDE: A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
Peptides arrive as a lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder and must be reconstituted before use. Follow these steps for accurate, sterile preparation:
- Gather your materials — You’ll need your peptide vial, Bacteriostatic Water (BaC Water), a sterile syringe, and alcohol swabs.
- Clean the vial tops — Wipe both the peptide vial and BaC Water vial tops with an alcohol swab and allow to air dry.
- Draw BaC Water — Using a sterile syringe, draw your desired volume of Bacteriostatic Water (typically 1–2mL per vial).
- Inject slowly — Insert the needle into the peptide vial and slowly inject the BaC Water down the side of the vial — do not aim directly at the powder.
- Swirl gently — Gently swirl (do not shake) the vial until the powder fully dissolves. The solution should be clear.
- Store correctly — Reconstituted peptides should be stored in the refrigerator at 2–8°C and used within 28 days.
